Giannis Antetokounmpo was on the rise to being the best basketball player in the NBA. He had just won MVP the previous year and had been selected to the all-star game. Customer and clothing designer LaStar Jackson introduced us to a friend of his who happened to work for the Milwaukee Bucks. They had come up with the idea to design and produce a Milwaukee Bucks letterman jacket for their All-Star player of the year, Giannis Antetokounmpo. We were stunned and thrilled to have the opportunity to make another jacket for the NBA. But we had no time to waste! Given that the NBA All-Star game was happening that same week, we had a total of 24 hours to get the jacket made. With our amazing production team, we were able to put together Giannis' jacket in a total of 17 hours! It was quite the task, but it turned out better than we could have hoped!
The most interesting comment that Giannis made when he was presented with the jacket on the company plane he said "This is my first letterman jacket..." This story goes to show how impactful Lettermans of Love can be and what it could do for so many athletes who deserve the jacket but do not have the means to have the jacket.
